Women’s Workshop
Exploring Female Assertiveness
This unique 1-day women’s workshop explores the interplay between femininity, assertiveness and power – Inspired by the metaphor of Argentine Tango.
During the workshop we’ll explore:
Self-awareness – Connecting with your essential, grounded and expressive self
Awareness of others – Tuning in to others, through presence and sensitivity
Intention & energy – Using intention and energy to convey clarity and confidence
Effective communication – Exploring the dynamics of assertive communication
The day is structured around practical exercises, conversations and personal reflections, all to a beautiful tango soundtrack.
No dance experience required – just curiosity and a willingness to participate.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Is there parking at the village hall?
A. There is very limited parking at the hall (3 spaces), so please park in front of the church, which is adjacent to the hall. If you are able to car share, that will be fantastic
Q. What should I wear?
A. Comfortable clothing, which allows for easy movement. Shoes should ideally have a slippy sole (rather than trainers) or you can wear a couple of pairs of thick socks instead (that you don’t mind getting a bit grubby)
Q. Does it matter if I can’t dance?
A. Not at all. The exercises are ‘inspired’ by tango, but we won’t be dancing
Q. I have some specific needs, can I still participate?
A. Yes! Please let me know in advance and I’ll work with you to make the event accessible
Q. Is food and drink available?
A. There will be snacks and refreshments available throughout the day although I recommend bringing your own packed lunch
If you have any other questions, please drop me a mail at contact@elainasmith.co.uk
Thanks again and here’s to a fabulous day together.

Whilst refreshments and snacks will be available throughout the day, please feel free to bring your own lunch.
